Pakistani dramas strike a delicate balance between being offensive and providing a full bundle of entertainment. Without a doubt, the Ramzan dramas are the most popular. Suno Chanda started the fad, then Tanaa Banaa, Chupke Chupke, and now “Paristan”, “Hum Tum” and “Chaudhary and Sons” have all followed suit.
1 – Hum Tum
Suno Chanda and Chupke Chupke renowned writer Saima Akram Chaudhry wrote the rom-com series Hum Tum. It’s a fascinating drama based on the narrative of Generation Z kids and their amusing feud. The drama depicts the lives of three sisters and their love-hate relationships. Hum Tum is a lighthearted twist on the old adage that “opposites attract,” attempting to determine if the adage is true or not. Syed Muhammad Ahmed, Farhan Ali Agha, Adnan Jafer, Uzma Baig, Munazzah Arif, Arjumand Raheem, Anoshey, Aina, and others star in the film, which is produced by MD Productions. Hum Tum is breaking stereotypes that prevail in our society and is against assigned gender roles.
2 – Chaudhary and Sons
Geo Entertainment offers a mega-project that encapsulates the significance of family reunions with fun, romance, and drama. Saima Akram Chaudhary wrote the screenplay for Chaudhary and Sons, which was directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain. Imran Ashraf and Ayeza Khan are collaborating for the first time. Fans are excited to see what kind of magic the team will conjure up in this drama. Chaudhry & Sons is a light mood family drama revolving around family reunion. The drama story is the life of Chaudhry and his Sons. Sohail Ahmed is the head of the family. His acting is amazing. Imran Ashraf is the son of Sohail Ahmed. Since the beginning he is proud of the fact that no one in his family has ever married outside their immediate family until her own daughter, Sabahat who has let him down while he had cut all familial ties with her. On the other hand, Sabahat along with her husband died in an accident long ago leaving behind her daughter, Pari in the care of her grandmother Malka Begum.
3 – Paristan
Paristan has just been started airing from today, it is directed by Ali Hassan, the drama has a stellar cast including Javeria Saud, Merub Ali, Naveen Waqar, Mooro, Meera Sethi Asad Siddiqui, Javeria Saud & many others. The Hum television drama is all set to air daily at 7:00 pm . The drama has been written by Samra Bukhari. Pernia (Aymen Saleem), a young girl who lives at her uncle’s house, is the focus of the sitcom. She is always considering all of the various outcomes in her life. Javeria Saud plays her stingy aunty (mumani), who has a sweet and kind daughter named Ujala (Merub). As cousins, Ujala and Pari have a special affinity. Pernia aka Pari’s best buddy, Kamali (Ali Safina), is her go-to person for all of her job. Mira Sethi plays their maid ‘Zubaida,’ and her portrayal of the character is as always amusing and entertaining on television.
