Ania Fawad has been the stylist for various big names in the industry such as Mahira Khan, Momal Sheikh, Maya Ali, Sana Javed, Sadaf Kanwa, Syra Shehroz, Urwa and Mawra and Ayesha Omer. She is chosen by the celebrities for her sense of grasping the uniqueness of fashion and helping celebrities make their own style statements with their dresses. Did you check out Syra Shehroz blue one off shoulder Dress and Momal Sheikhs stunning look for the IPPA awards 2018? Yup that was done by the wonderfully talented Ania Fawad. Ania is one of the most celebrated stylists in Pakistan. She has recieved recognition abroad by celebrated magazines such as Vogue Arabia and Elle India . The surprising part is that she has no PR of any sort, and the projects that she gets. are all because of word of mouth. She is based out of San Francisco. Although she primarily works with Pakistani celebrities, most of her clients have also worked in Bollywood. In her recent interview with India’s Elle magazine she says her style inspiration is Mimi Cuttrell’s work on the Hadid sisters and Priyanka Chopra. She says she absolutely loves styling Maya Ali. Ania told Page 3 magazine how she loved working with her during the promotions of Teefa in Trouble and is really looking forward to working with her again for Parey Hut Love. She claimed rather humbly that her all-time favorite look not style by her was Sonam Kapoor at Cannes 2016, in Ralph and Russo and Kalyan Jewellers. She says she is high on PVC trends and is in love with the floral trends. So we will probably get to see loads of that in our celebrities’ fashion choices this year! Lets check out her exclusive interview with Page 3 Magazine!

You have become an inspiration for the youth but what has been your inspiration?

I’m surrounded by so many inspirational strong, resilient, women, family and friends, who followed their dreams and encouraged me to follow mine.

What inspired you to become stylist and how has your journey been so far?

I started a fashion blog a few years ago. I had so much fun putting outfits together that I decided to take it one step further and started styling other people, which eventually lead me to styling celebrities. I feel extremely fortunate because I have been in the industry only a few years, and have had amazing opportunities to work with the best of the best.

What do you like and hate about being a Stylist?

Styling is a form of art for me. I love the creative part of the job.Playing with colors and coming up with different ideas for each look. Having said that, styling is also lot of work and is not as glamorous as it looks. I think the most annoying part about the job is coordinating shipments.

Do you follow all fashion trends or you believe in having your own style statement?

As a stylist, I have to keep up with the latest style trends but I am not a slave to them. Just because something is trending doesn’t mean it will suit everyone.

“As a stylist, I believe fashion has no borders and I’m always promoting designers from around the world in Pakistan”

What do you think is unique about you as opposed to other Stylist out there?

I like to have fun with fashion and experiment. Also, I think I’m very detail oriented and spend a lot of time perfecting each and every detail You are doing almost everything young girls and women want to do these days.

Is there anything you still look forward to do in life or are passionate about?

There is always more to learn and look forward to. I would like to grow globally. So far I’ve only been styling stars in Pakistan and I feel it’s time to work with stars outside of The country as well.

Some inspirational words you want to share with girls who are interested in starting something new, perhaps a blog?

If you’re passionate about something, just go for it! I believe there’s nothing you can not do if you put your mind to it. I’ve always been a creative person, but fashion is not something that came naturally to me. Everything I know, I have had to learn, with the help of my mentors, a lot of practice, trial and error. If I can do it, you can too.
