After fiddling with hosting, stage performances and even modelling, Ahsan Khan is back to film business. His latest silver screen venture, Chuppan Chuppai, is being directed by Mohsin Ali and will release by the end of this year.
Apart from showcasing his skills in front of the camera, Khan also has his own production company that is currently working on film projects.
Udaari has not only captivated the Pakistani audience with its powerful subject, but the show has also managed to win hearts across the border.
Ahsan Khan in particular, has been well received by audiences and critics alike for the realistic portrayal of his character, Imtiaz Sheikh.
Ahsan Khan made waves in Shams in TV serial Preet Na Kariyo Koi and Udaari, but the actor is ready to hit the big screen once again with the upcoming film Chupan Chupai.
Chupan Chupai is a comic thriller with interesting twists and turns. Ahsan will be seen in a comic avatar in the film.
“I am playing the role of a guy who is ambitious. He wants to achieve a lot in life therefore he gets into crimes to reach his goals. He is also dumb at the same time. So, whenever he tries to do something, he ends up ruining it due to his silly mistakes.”
Directed by writer Mohsin Ali of ‘Wrong No’, the film also stars Neelam Muneer, Rehan Sheikh, Adnan Jaffer, Faizan Khwaja alongside veteran actors Talat Hussain and Sakina Samo in key roles.
Beside films, the actor has lately been the talk of the town for the negative role he is essaying in drama serial Udari. It focuses on the evil of child abuse. Ahsan Khan has a busy schedule lined up, and that’s because Zee TV has roped him for several new ventures.
His first Zee TV venture, Mohabat Ki Akhri Kahani, is loosely based on popular Sindhi folklore Mooml Rano and will be penned by Zafar Miraj. The short film will see him romancing Pakistani actress Saba Qamar; the actor disclosed that he will be playing the role of an educated Sindhi guy while Saba Qamar will portray a Sindhi girl from a good family.
However, the script will only borrow elements from the original folklore, instead of copying it entirely. It will showcase modern-day elements, and focus on the fact that even in this day and age, love marriages fail to work in typical Sindhi families. The topic of honour killing is also mildly touched upon in the movie.
Ahsan has previously been cast in hit drama serials like Daastaan, Niyyat, Paani Jaisa Pyaar, Mutthi Bhar Chaawal and Heer Ranjha. He is undoubtedly one of the most diversified and versatile Pakistani actors.
Today, Ahsan Khan has made such a strong position for himself his success is at its peak and one reason of which is that Ahsan Khan believes in professionalism. With his appealing personality and hard work, Ahsan is a favorite of every one. The status he has achieved is something every new entrant in industry should follow.
