Sridevi starred in 51 movies as opposed to other heroines such as Madhuri who worked in around 100 plus movies in their entire acting careers. She believed in prioritizing quality over quantity.
In the 1970s-1990s she gave many hits like Chaandi, Mr India, Nagina, Lambhe, Sadma etc. Her sweet and bubbly personality along with her innocent looks made her an audience favorite. Not just that but she won many hearts by playing eccentric and dynamic 3-dimentional characters.

From her character in Sadma where is an escaped amnesiac to her role in Chaalbaaz where she played the double role of a con women, Sridevi was talented and could pull-off diverse and intriguing roles effortlessly.

In 1996, Sridevi married Bonny Kapoor and put a halt to her prosperous acting career in the meantime she had two beautiful daughters named Janvi and Khushi.

In 2012, Sridevi gave a mind blowing come back with the movie English Vinglish after almost a decade. She played an adorably relatable character of a mother who started taking accelerated English lessons. A problem that every traditional-minded women could easily relate to in the subcontinent. Sridevi after her comeback only signed movies which were based on moving yet relevant topics. Her last movie before her death was MOM where she played another compelling character of a mother taking revenge from her daughter’s rapists. Sridevi was probably the only actress who made an astonishingly successful comeback into the Bollywood industry.

She was an asset for the Indian cinema industry and a true legend. You will be truly missed Sridevi. But like a wise man said:

“Legends never die”, You’ll be remembered through your movies for all times to come
